When a picture is worth a thousand words

Rembrandt got the gospel... here is his work, "the return of the prodigal son".

In my mind, this is one of the most beautiful portraits of grace i've ever seen.

I sometimes have to stare at it for a while to let the weight of it settle upon my hard heart.
"come to me all you who are weary and heavy laden, and I will give you rest" -Jesus
