Hope you enjoyed last week at the Gathering. Hearing from Barrett about his time in China; jamming out with Garrett and the band to some great worship; Roy cracking open the Word and reminding us of our need to daily look to Christ. This week is bound to be a good time as well as Roy continues the miniseries, the Cause Effect. This week the focus will be on the effect...is there hope for tomorrow in light of today? How does your view of life today effect your view of the future? We'll ask these questions and more...and of course Roy might use another kitchen appliance to bring it all full circle for us. You won't want to miss that!
Come out, this week....730ish in the Hanger.
"Be there. Invite everyone."

Who is this King of Glory?

"He was the meekest and lowliest of all the sons of men, yet he spoke of coming on the clouds of heaven in the glory of God.
He was so austere that evil spirits and demons cried out in terror at his coming, yet so gentle, winsome and approachable that the little children would run up to Him and nestle in His arms.
His presence at the innocence of the village wedding was like the presence of sunshine.
No one was half so kind or compassionate to sinners, yet no one spoke such red hot scorching words about sin.
A bruised reed He would not break, His whole life was love, yet on one occasion He demanded of the Pharisees how they were expecting to escape the damnation of hell.
He was a dreamer of dreams and a seer of visions, yet for purposes of realism He has all of the self proclaimed realists soundly beaten.
He was a servant of all washing the disciples feet, yet masterfully he strode into the temple and all of the hucksters and the money changers fell over one another in their mad rush to get out of the way of the fire they saw blazing in His eyes.
He saved others, but at last and in the end himself He did not save. There is nothing in all of history that confronts us like the union of contrast presented in the gospels.
The mystery of Jesus is the mystery of divine personality."

eternal relief
How burdened are you by your sin?
How much do you feel their weight?
How much do you hate them, wish they were gone from you?
Consider the following quote
"When sin is your burden, Christ will be your delight."
THOMAS WATSON
May our sins drive us to the foot of the cross.
There we will find pardon, relief, and hope.
It is a shade and shelter for heavy souls.
'God made Him who had no sin to be sin for us,
so that IN HIM we might become THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF CHRIST'-Paul, 2 Cor. 5.21
